    Notes:

Richard Braxton Stansberry is buried in the Clinton Oaks Cemetery in West Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma. The cemetery rests upon land once owned by Richard's friend Dr. Clinton, after whom the cemetery is named.
Richard Braxton Stansberry was a farmer in Neosho, Newton County, Missouri until 1889 when Oklahoma Terriotry was opened for settlement. Richard, his wife Elizabeth, four daughters, Gilla Rebeckah, Anna Mary, Linna Arvilla, Sarah Bertha, and son Lawrence Richard, secured a claim near Chandler. But after the death of Richard's wife Elizabeth, the family chose to return to Tulsa where they rented a farm in the section that is now known as Maple Ridge, farming for six years.
Richard remarried 15 October 1891 to Mrs. Emma Edwards, who preceded him in death.

Richard married Arvilla Elizabeth CORNER on 25 Dec 1873 in Granby, Newton, Missouri. Arvilla (daughter of Francis Jacques CORNER and RACHEL REBECCA DRAKE) was born on 04 Nov 1853 in Nashville, Washington, Illinois, United States; died on 24 Mar 1890 in Indian City, Payne, Oklahoma, United States; was buried in Pepsin, Newton County, Missouri, USA. Notes:

    Obituary:
Elizabeth Stansberry's full name was: Arvilla Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Corner Stansberry. She was the daughter of Francis J. (Jacques) Corner and Rachel Rebecca Drake. She was the 1st wife of Richard Braxton Stansberry. Her children were: Gilla Rebecca Stansberry; Anna Mary 'Annie' Stansberry; Lawrence Richard 'Lon' Stansberry; Linna Arvilla 'Linnie' Stansberry; and Bertha Sarah 'Bert' Stansberry.

Her mother Rachel's date of death and burial location are unknown. Rachel was alive, living with Richard B. Stansberry in Tulsa, Indian Territory at time of the 1900 U.S. Census. She was 73 years old. At time of the 1910 U.S. Census, Rachel is no longer listed as living - anywhere within the United States. Speculations range wide as to her burial location: between her husband Francis Jacques Corner and daughter Lizzie in the Powers Cemetery, but without a stone or marker; in Oaklawn Cemetery, Tulsa, Tulsa CO, Oklahoma where daughter Gilla Rebecka, her husband Joseph Sheddrick, their unknown child, and son-in-law Richard B. Stansberry are buried. Oaklawn's records are ill-kept & they claim no written record. The Powers Cemetery records have long been lost, so again no record. A death record hasn't been found - Oklahoma didn't begin keeping such records until sometime 1910.
