Edward Osborn was on eof the signers of a petition to the King by the inhabitants of East Jersey for appointment of a suitable governor, about 17000-1701 (NHA 1st Ser., 2:396).
Edward Osborn of Elizabethtown in his will dated 10 July 1711, proved 14 June 1719, names bother Caleb, dec'd., brother James if he has a male heir, Joshua son of Caleb Osborn and Samuel, son of Thomas Bancroft. Executors were to be Efrem Osborn, James Osborn and Johnathan Lynly (Unecorded Wills, Trenton, 5:127).
